Initial Examination
You and your dentist will start by reviewing your medical and dental history and completing a comprehensive dental exam. Your exam will include an examination of your bite, jaw gums and teeth, an oral cancer screening and required X-rays.
Treatment Plan
Your dentist will create a customized treatment plan for you based on your medical history and exam. There will also be time to ask questions about your oral health and treatment options.
Insurance Claims & Payment Methods
At Collingwood Dental Centre, we'll help you navigate our options for payment and may be able to submit insurance claims on your behalf so you can focus on getting the dental care you need.
- Submission of Insurance Claims
We are happy to submit insurance claims electronically on your behalf, which may result in faster reimbursement than if you were to submit them yourself and will also often skip the need for paper forms and signatures.
- Payment Methods
You will be responsible for any co-pays or outstanding amounts not covered by your insurance. These amounts must be paid at the time of your appointment.
We accept payment by cash, cheque, debit or most major credit cards.

- How can I book an appointment?
To book an appointment at Collingwood Dental Centre, please contact our office during our regular business hours.
- How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us. The sooner you can notify us about the change in plans, the better. Knowing well in advance will allow us to offer the space in our schedule to another patient.
If an appointment is missed or cancelled without 48 hours' notice a minimum fee of $100.00 will be charged.
- Do you offer appointment reminders?
In the days before your appointment, we will send automated phone appointment reminders. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call us as soon as possible to notify us.
- Does your clinic have on-site parking?
Yes, patients should feel free to use our convenient, free on-site parking. We are also easily accessible by public transit.

Some people become fearful or anxious around dental appointments. Though this is very common, it can prevent you from getting the dental care you need. If this sounds familiar, not to worry.
